🏛️ Why MistCoin?
MistCoin is the prototype Fabian Vogelsteller built while he was developing the ERC-20 token standard. It went onchain at block 483,325 on November 3, 2015, 16 days before he filed the proposal, and he has said he used it to test the standard idea. It implements transfer, balanceOf and the Transfer event, the three members the standard itself calls the most important. No other token on Ethereum has that relationship to the standard.
